How Order Notifier Plus collects, uses, and protects your data.

01Overview
Order Notifier Plus ("we", "our", or "the App") is a Shopify application that enables merchants to send automated WhatsApp notifications to their customers for order confirmations, fulfillment updates, cancellations, paid order alerts, and abandoned cart recovery.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
02Data We Collect
When you install and use Order Notifier Plus, we collect the following information:
- Store domain, shop name, and Shopify access tokens required to operate the app
- Customer phone numbers and email addresses from orders — used solely to send WhatsApp notifications
- Order details including order ID, items, total price, and fulfillment status
- Abandoned checkout data including cart contents and checkout URLs
- WhatsApp session information for your connected WhatsApp account
- Subscription and billing information tied to your Shopify plan
03How We Use Your Data
All data collected is used exclusively to provide the core functionality of the App:
- Sending automated WhatsApp messages to your customers on your behalf
- Storing message logs to prevent duplicate notifications
- Tracking abandoned checkouts and sending recovery messages
- Managing your WhatsApp session and subscription status
- Displaying analytics and message history within the App dashboard
We do not sell, rent, or share your data or your customers' data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
04Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Hostinger VPS infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit.
WhatsApp sessions are managed through WAHA (WhatsApp HTTP API) running on isolated containers. We do not have access to the content of messages sent between your business and your customers beyond what is needed to deliver the notification.
05Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your store has the App installed. Upon uninstallation:
- Your WhatsApp session is immediately terminated and removed
- All order, checkout, and message log data is deleted from our servers
- Subscription records are marked as cancelled but retained for billing reconciliation
- Shopify session tokens are deleted
06Third-Party Services
Order Notifier Plus integrates with the following third-party services to operate:
- Shopify — for store authentication, order data, and billing
- WhatsApp (via WAHA) — for delivering WhatsApp messages to customers
Each of these services has their own privacy policies which govern their data handling practices.
07GDPR Compliance
We are committed to GDPR compliance. In accordance with Shopify's mandatory webhook requirements:
- Customer data requests — we respond to requests for customer data within the required timeframe
- Customer data erasure — we delete customer data upon receiving a redaction request from Shopify
- Shop data erasure — all shop data is deleted within 48 hours of app uninstallation
08Your Rights
As a merchant using our App, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about your store
- Request deletion of your store's data at any time by uninstalling the App
- Opt out of any non-essential data collection
09Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
